    Hi -

    I have an M6809 with a 3200+ Athlon64 processor.

The system is reading some hardware configuration (probably from BIOS or strapping on the CPU) that the CPU clock is around 2000 Mhz.

However, whenever I run CPU benchmarks or anything that detects my real-life actual CPU speed, the results are always in the range of 800 MHz.

My M6809 does run pretty slow.

How can I get my CPU speed back up to 2000 MHz (2.0 GHz)?

    Thanks!

    Al

It is normal for it to do this as running at 800Mhz conserves the battery. For most tasks 800Mhz is more than enough. Does the 6809 come with power management sofware? If not, try setting the power options to Home/Office in control panel.
