    Can somebody that has the Powernow tab on there power options export that whole registry key and email it to me, so I can compare the two.

    The registry key I need is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREAMDPowerNow!

    Powernow is installed and functioning, I can change the settings manual in the registry but I have no Powernow! tab. I want to compare my registy settings with somebody else's registry that has the powernow tab and see if mine is missing something.. As of now my registry looks likt this:

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREAMDPowerNow!]
    "PluggedIn"=dword:00000000
    "OnBatteries"=dword:00000001
    "ChangeLimit"=dword:0000001e
    "HighHysteresis"=dword:00000050
    "LowHysteresis"=dword:00000037
    "SampleDepth"=dword:00000003
    "SamplePeriod"=dword:00000064
    "GUID"="SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{55638DD9-D5A9-11D3-B74B-204C4F4F5020}"

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREAMDPowerNow!Version 3.0.4]

    Thanks in advance.

    Sty,

    I have PN!, but I don't know what your talking about. Email me at [email protected] and if you walk me through it, I'll help out the best I can.

    Sorry I didn't respond, again I don't know what I am doing, henceforth I didn't reply as it didn't apply to me, but I sense deep frustration in this one...

    Can you take a screen shot of your powernow tab and the settings it is on? Then we will go from there.. Cause according to your registry settng it is set to 1 on plugged in and that should be the automatic mode jumping from 800 to 2ghz not set at 2ghz all the time.

    Well, I don't know about the a screenshot - don't know how to do it.
    As for power adjustment; according to AMD "Dashboard" my cpu's speed does flucuate when plugged in - although the "System" screen shows 2000Mhz.

    Thanks, but it's not needed... All I had to do was disable DEP in SP2. I updated my "Guide" here.

    But thanks for the offer.
