In the last month and a half or so I've burnt out 4 power cords. The original power cord melted around where the male end of the connector plugs into the laptop. The other 3 that best buy have sent me have all melted/burnt out the inverter part of the cord. I dont always have it plugged into the same outlet, and the quality of the replacement cords look like crap IMO as compared to the original. The original had a 3 prong plug and the replacements are 2 pronged. They are all supposed to be rated at 90w, but it seems a little excessive to burn out 4 cords in a month and a half. I sent it in under the BB warranty to see if they could figure out what the problem was, while getting my hinge cracks fixed in the process. Anyone have an idea of whats going on? The guys at BB said even if it keeps burning out cords, it would have to be sent in 4 times before they will give me a replacement. Any ideas on whats going on with it?

edit: Forgot to mention, Im running an M6809 with 1.256gb of ram and everything else pretty much stock except for omega drivers(not OCing the vid card).

I hope you did not replace the internal RAM which supposedly voids your warranty?
Make sure you remove it if you have - before - it gets sent back if you did!
Tell it like it is...NOT how it should be -
WOW. Melting cords? That should NEVER happen, especially 4 times. Something is very wrong.
My hinge is cracked again! -
