OK try this.... In the control panel use the add remove programs and get rid of the PowerNow (If it is there, can't remember). Then use the link in the FAQ to get the latest driver. Save it to your desktop, right click on the file and choose properties, select the compatibility tab, select run in windows 2k and apply/close the window. Now you can install the Powernow. Once completed you will see the added options (i.e. right click on the desktop and select properties/screensaver tab then the power) in there you will have a tap for the AMD PowerNow.

The only thing I can think of is that something got corrupted. If you have not put alot of effort into installing software I would try a restore and try to install the powernow when completed.

AJVETT, I've install the powernow on my M6805 and also found that it didnt work in battery mode or in AC mode. I fixed the AC mode problem by opening the power properties tab and changing the power scheme to "Always On". This worked for AC, but still no luck on the battery power side of things.
