First off, first post here. Just found this site today...WOW at the stuff i learned about my laptop in the matter of a few hours. i.e. you can overclock the video card and CPU, you can upgrade the CPU, you can upgrade to TWO gigs of RAM not just the 1.5 gigs that emachine says. etc.
OK, I had my M6805 since last Janurary (thanks uncle sam for tax refunds). A few months ago my ac adapter blew and made clicking sounds when plugged into the wall, and then would not send power to the battery. Then to AC plug on the back of the laptop cracked and wouldnt keep the plug inside even if the adapter worked. Since I have like 4 1/2 computers in the house I ignored the problem. Finally called up emachines for warranty and they sent a box for me to fedex it to them. so last tuesday i shipped it (they paid for fedex overnight). they got it saturday (good job fedex, over-many night-shipping maybe). anyway, i called yesterday to check the status of the repairs, the tech said they replaced the motherboard, ac adapter, hard drive, screen, case, etc. i was like...WOW, thats nice. then he said...what if i told you that according to fedex, my laptop was on a truck to deliver it to my house right then. i was like WOOOOOOWWWWWWW!!! very impressed with their speed at repairs.
Anyway, to the point now, of course when i got the laptop i immediately formatted and put my xp pro back on the hard drive. i put the ati omega drivers, and found the rest of the driver on this and other forums. EXCEPT for this USB Controller driver. I dont see it listed anywhere. I dont have my restore disk either. If you know where I can get this driver that would be great. Thanks. You guys are awesome.

I'm sure they are on eMachines website somewhere.
I know things, things that could get me killed -
The drivers are on the third restore CD or on the only DVD. Also here: http://www.arima.com.tw/ViewSupport.asp?View=71 . These aren't the newest, google 'VIA drivers' for the latest.
First PC = Vic-20, 8" 128KB Home-Brew Floppy Drive ... Current Rig = eMachines m6805 ... Quantum Leap? -
Nevermind, I'm stupid. See, I already had the newest VIA drivers installed...just had to go into the device manager and reinstall the driver. Windows found it and all is good now. Thanks.
