I found out from Best Buy (where I purchased my emachines laptop) that they can install memory in the 'internal' memory slot without voiding my warranty. Here is my question about this, even though the maximum memory for the laptop is stated as 1256mb, what is the maximum anyone has gotten the emachines m6809 up to? I am thinking of going with 1GB in the internal slot, and 1GB in the user accessible external slot for a total of 2Gb, but I don't want to do this if the maximum someone has tested it at is less. I thought I saw a post somewhere (I've looked for it and cannot find it) from someone who had tested this out by taking his laptop apart (voiding warranty) and he found out that the laptop can actually support more than 1256mb that emachines state is the maximum. Any assistance or answers to this problem would be appreciated.

Here is the Makers Spec: http://www.arima.com.tw/ViewProduct.asp?View=71 ... You might double-check about the warranty tho.

    First PC = Vic-20, 8" 128KB Home-Brew Floppy Drive ... Current Rig = eMachines m6805 ... Quantum Leap?
