I believe something is wrong with my notebook's hardware (graphics card maybe?). Whenever I turn on the notebook without my adaptor for the battery plugged in, the notebook's monitor display either goes blank or has some weird colors and then the notebook restarts. It keeps doing this over and over. When I start the computer in safe mode it doesnt do that. If the adapter plugged in it runs normally. It probably isnt a virus because I have Norton antivirus (up to date) and a firewall. This happened a few days ago (I thought it was a virus then) and I reformatted my notebook. It still does this so it might be the hardware. I also use an overclocker for the graphics card.

    Thanks for any input!

When you boot in safe mode it does not use the overclocking utility for the video card. While in safe mode, unistall the OC'ing util and restart. It should work fine.
