I was going to add a 1GB stick of MEM to the external RAM port and leave the internal as-is. Is it even possible to mix memory speeds (i.e., 2700 int and 3200 ext?). If not, presumably I need to remove the internal stick, and while I'm there, replace it and leave the external open?

I've read in the threads that Samsung memory is safe, as well as apple. Any more recent views?

    Thanks!!

you can mix memory speeds, but the system will only perform at the slower of the two speeds. See sites:
