ok, so recently i bought an eMcahines M2352 second hand from a buddy for a hundred bucks, the only problem was, the power supply was missing, but he did give me a power supply with it, from a different Dell laptop (19V 3.16A), now the pin fits and it will run the computer, but, only with the battery removed, and on occasion when the computer has been on for a while, or when doing alot of processing, the computer dies. I am looking to buy a new power supply, but have run into a few issues.. first of:
1) The laptop says it needs a 19V 6.3 Amp DC power supply with (i think) a 2.5mm pin. However everywhere i look online, i find the replacement supplies being marked as 18.5 V, 4.9 Amps. Will this work?
2) And if it will work, I have a 18.5 V 4.9 Amp gateway supply.. the pin is wrong though, if the power supply will work, is it possible to cut the pin off the first, and somehow splice the wires to attach the current pin to the new poer supply?
3) I have already upgraded the RAM to 1G, and installed a new CD drive switching it from CD-R/DVD to CD-R/DVD-RW and upgraded the hard drive from 60G's to 120G's, will this effect power consumption and therefore the power supply i will need?
Thanks in advance for any help. if anyone knows of a good place to buy replacement, upgrade eMachine laptop parts as well, i would appreciate the knowledge.

1. Specs call for 19v - 4.74Ah - 90.06W. I recommend staying with this specs.
2. see 1.
3. If anything it will make your comp snappier. Again, stay with the original specs. One of many online stores for the adpater in question:
