    Hello all,

I am about to reformat with WinXP Pro, and I realized that I am missing PowerDVD... it came with my 6809, and I really don't want to pay for it again, and since I am reformatting with Pro I wouldn't have it. Any one have any ideas on a legal way to get this program? I really don't want the demo, looking for the full version. Any ideas other than that are greatly appreciated.

    TIA,

PowerDVD 5 is included on the restore DVD, at least for my M6811. However, a newer version 6 has been released and you can purchase the upgrade.

Thanks, but I try to avoid using P2P.

Thanks again though, a solution will show itself soon.

It's not on the 6809 restore DVD, thanks for trying though.

Surely you can download a demo and use your existing key to unlock it?

It would have to be the same version of course.

Tell it like it is...NOT how it should be :)

No, the demo version doesn't have a place to unlock it. (Enter the reg. key.)

    Thanks though.

If it's under warranty why not call the manufacturer? They should send you one right away. Oh, wait, they are owned by Gateway now. I don't know what happens to "merger" issues. I tried looking up the emachines web site support for you with no luck.

You can get version 4 for $6 here:

I would try eMachines first. HP sent me a Operating system disc after I lost it. For free no less.
