Just installed 8.31.100.3.2.1 of the Catalyst and now I can not get my laptop display to do 1280x800 in dual monitor mode?

wait until january 30th. a flow of drivers from every manufacturers websites will probably correct your problem.

also there are no catalyst beta verisons right now. the new one is the official 7.1

    until then try this:

    1) c;\program files\ati\uninstallall
    2) restart computer
    3) download latest catalyst version from www.ati.com
    4) restart computer

it should work unless you have an x1700 or x1450 or x1900 mobility which don't work as of yet.

So I just installed the latest 2007.0202.1923.34565

And now I only get one monitor? No matter what I try and can only have one monitor at a time. Also the built in LCD will not let me set it to the native resolution?

    Thoughts?

How can I set the driver for the display? It will not let me change the rez of the built in monitor?

    Is this forum still working?

Now what do we do? Emachine is no longer around and ATi/AMD no longer provide support?

Mobility Radeon™ Support for Windows Vista

Currently AMD does not provide any driver support for Mobility Radeon™ products. All driver and technical support for Mobility Radeon™ products is provided by the original laptop or notebook manufacturer. The drivers that are available for download at ati.amd.com are for desktop products only.

To download Windows Vista Mobility Radeon™ drivers or driver updates for your laptop or notebook product, please visit your laptop or notebook manufacturer's website.

Since E-machines was part or or bought out by gateway (can't exactly remember) they may have a suitable driver posted by your cards description. If you can't locate try calling them. Tech support has been very helpful in the past and should be able to get you in the right direction OR you can go to http://www.driverheaven.net/modtool/ and follow the instructions. Very carefully I might add. This site is very detailed about how to do the process and basically the modder is designed pretty much for situations like yours. Hope this helps...
