    They are all as American as Fujii Apple Pie. I know Arima is one of their ODM's, there may be others, but like most notebook vendors, they just slap their brand sticker on mass produced third world laptops.

    good to hear they stopped making used laptops and selling them as new.. my friends family bought 2 emachines and i feel bad for them.. they paid like 1200/each for junk

    EMachines is still not dead, Gateway just announced the W4605 which will be sold only through Walmart...

    They never actually made laptops. Just like most of the other 'Laptop Makers', they ordered them from third world countries and slapped their brand sticker on them.
