    Hello everyone!

This is my first post as I have not seen any post related to the topic

After reviewing a lot about the M6805 and M609 I've decided to upgrade my beloved M6805 to the final conclusions:

I have 1.25G memory and will swap the interal from 256M > 1.2GB

I will swap out my interal 60G 4200rpm to a bigger and faster HDD
What should I get? a Faster IBM driver or a Larger capacity?

I have an external 4X DVD+/- drive which is working but takes up some space.
I'd like to upgrade the internal drive and would like to keep it looking like the original on. I'd figure getting the same brand and swapping the face plate.

I 've done some googling and ebaying and found the SOSW-852S 8X4 SLIM DVD+/-RW to be a perfect candidate. This is what I'll need help on:

What's the review or any on this brand and drive?

Is there an alternatve solution to Liteon? I've heard that LG also has the same faceplate.

The CPU can be upgraded to 3400+ but is it worth the money? I mainly BT and download and play retro games.
