Has anyone figured out what adapter the 6809s use with the Juice?

How about a similar product for charging on the go?

The iGo is nice. Belkin also makes a comparable unit. I'm not sure how much support either have for eMach though.

I just called iGo tech support about this. They said eMachines are not listed in their compatibility chart, but if you find out your volts and amps on input--which needs to be below 70w total--they can suggest a tip to use. The iGo Juice 70 comes with 10 adapter tips. I just ordered one for another notebook that crashed and am hoping to replace with an eMachines. Check them out at:

The power cord on my 6809 says 90watt. So much for that idea. I see Belkin has a 120 watt charger. I'll give them a call later.

For the car, I just use a Wal-Mart inverter special and use the existing power adapter. It was around 35 bucks and 125 watts.

This laptop is too power hungry to be used aircraft seat power, or so I've been told.

I wasn't sure if the cheap inverters would work. Good to know, but I just ordered a car adapter from laptoppartsnow.com (~10 Resellerrating!) made for the 680x. (When in doubt, Google)

In my search I also found a compatability chart for the airlines. It looks like mostly Jumbo Jets going to the Far East have hookups for laptops, but not many, if any other jet types. Chances are I'll never fly Jumbo, so a basic DC car adapter works for me!
