I am using my M6809 which is currently restored to factory updated but default settings. I just set it back for repair and had them do a clean install of the OS.
I am trying to use my TV (37 inch 1080P) as a monitor. I have already been able to use it as a side display, or I think it is called a spanning display which means that it will display pictures or video or web pages if I drag them off the right of my desktop and onto the TV monitor. However I simply want my computers primary display to be the tv monitor. So I don't want it to be a multiple monitor set up.
I am guessing this might be tricky since the m6809 and the 37 inch 1080p monitor have different dimension, but we have all seen laptops drive monitors at work with the laptop closed and the user has a external monitor and keyboard with a docking station. Well that is what I want less the docking station and keyboard.
Can it be done?
If so how?
thank you for any help

Open up your catalyst control center and go to display properties. You should see two icons, one like a monitor, the other like a TV. They should be labeled '1' (the monitor) and '2' (the TV). There is an option there to either 'swap primary display' or 'make this my primary display'. Something like that anyway (I am having trouble recalling specifics on this, sorry). You can mess with the resolution on your TV until it looks spiffy.

Thank you for your responce otakuoverlord.
I think I tried that and the resolution of the desktop was all out of wack on the TV.
But I will try again and see if I can ajust the resolution after the switch to make it fit the screen properly.
How to question?
