I feel so dumb... I was drunk one day and set three passwords for my notebook...

I remember the first two for the BIOS but I did a completely different password for the harddisk and now I can not remember that one for the life of me.

I tried every single thought I was having at the time of inebriation and to no avail. So I was thinking that I may have to reset the CMOS jumper or something (keep in mind, I have very little knowledge of notebooks internally)

Dang, if it were a desktop it would be as simple as that... but like I said, I know very little of how laptops work internally.

So, I would highly appreciate any suggestions because I already conversed with an emachines rep and they want 100 bucks (!!! ) so I can ship it to texas for them to remove the password.

    Any suggestions people?

$100 is cheap for recovering a password, when you think about the time involved, getting a new drive, re-install and a possibility of breaking your notebook when taking it apart.

Chalk this as a good expensive drunk session  Good luck.

    cheers ...
