I have heard many stories of people exchainging their cracked hinge 6809 for a 6811 @ Best Buy...no frills or anything. That's nice...however I am wondering who tried that and failed...Anyone?
thanks in advance for responding...I really want that 2.2ghz...

Any location with M6809s remaining will trade out the same machine. If you have the esp, then you can afford to wait it out.

Besides, the Athlon 64 3400+ does not provide a huge power boost.

Installed software will also remedy the problem.

Also, when on battery during travels, I find the down-clocking to be advantageous.

Well, Best Buy said they would change it out, no problem.
Looks like I am getting the 6811 after all.
