My 6809 has the LiteOn Slimtype 431s optical drive which has been acting flakey. It tends to not recognize discs when they're inserted, does not autorun, and has the annoying habit of shutting down the laptop while in the midst of ripping a cd. I believe this is probably some kind of software problem because there are ways I can get it to work for a while. My main question right now is that in the "My Computer" window it shows up as two separate drives:
DVD-RW Drive (D) type CD Drive
DVD Drive (E) type CD Drive

    Is this normal?
