Hi, I'm not at home for some time and I only have my t61 with me, I wanted to buy an updrade to play games but I discovered this forum and egpu's. I want to build something as cheap as possible and I don't require a very good gpu.
I'm seeking for advice on how to build a egpu, so far I know I need a power supply, the device that connect expresscard slot with gpu (not sure what to get PE4H ??? I'm confused here).
I would like to know what to buy to connect a gpu to my expresscard slot? what is the difference between 1x and 2x? Is PE4H for gpu with a 16x PCI ? Do I need an external monitor or can I just use the egpu has a regular gpu and use my laptop display?

    my laptop : T61 dual-core 7300hz, 4gb ram, 256gb ssd

    thanks for your patience
