    Hi There,

I would just like start with that this is my first post and that i have read pretty much read everything on DIY eGPU setups (mainly the DIY eGPU thread). But i come now to ask people who have got theres setup and running smoothly for some advice.

I want to setup an eGPU to my current laptop, which is an Acer Aspire 5745g with a 1st gen Corei7 720QM processor with 10GB of RAM and a Nvidia GT330m 1GB graphics card (no switchable graphics). I have no express card slot but i do have one mini PCIe slot that my wireless card is connected to (willing to unplug this). My first question is (before i buy a PE4H-PM3N mPCIe adapter) will i be able to successfully do a DIY eGPU to my laptop?

If i can setup a eGPU, i am looking for just a mediocre graphics card. And from the thread for DIY eGPU it was not clear (for me) what sort of graphics card i can/should get, as well as a PSU?

I know this is most properly clear in the DIY eGPU thread in these forums but i am only asking as i am not 100% if i am reading the facts right.

    Cheers in advance!
