    Hello,

I have Toshiba Qosmio X505 laptop. Specs:

    i7-2630QM
    Intel HM65 Express Chipset
    GeForce GTX 460M
    4GB RAM
    Windows 8.0

The GTX 460M GPU inside is damaged, it works flawlessly on desktop and in photoshop, office, etc. but shutdowns whole PC while gaming so i can't play any games. I've flashed a modified BIOS with very lowered clocks and i
can play only very not demanding games only so it's a pain with this gaming laptop...

I would like to use some kind of external GPU like GTX 660/670 but im not sure if it's compatible, please help me to confirm it. Im living outside of US so buying one of the eGPU PCB which will not work because of my laptop would be silly. Im attaching system info screenshots.

I think that's ExpressCard 2.0 but it's running in 1.0 mode (?) Is it okay? Attaching screenshot

I also assume that's TOLUD compatible, 2.75GB. Screenshot

I know you have eGPU tutorial, I've already read it but i still have some questions, I think you should make it more compact.

    1. I don't have a Optimus and iGPU, is this better or worse for eGPU config?
    2. Will good GPU like GTX 660/670 work acceptable only in ExpressCard 2.0 without using mPCIE? I assume yes but i don't know whether Optimus is affecting this?
    3. Can i still render image to internal LCD without Optimus capable laptop?

    Waiting for Your reply
    Regards
