You may get a better response if give an accurate synopsis of the problem: My EGPU is <strike>detected but not working</strike> performing poorly

For your performance issue it would have helped to have read DIY eGPU Experiences -> Prepurchase FAQ sections below prior to investing in the hardware. That would set accurate expectations on performance.

    5. (Performance) What affects the performance of a eGPU?
    6. (Performance) Can my system do a PE4H x2 or x4 link as shown in PCIe Scaling Analysis?
    7. (Performance) What recommended candidate notebooks should I buy for best performance?

Briefly, your system isn't x2 capable, nor can it do x1.Opt. I'd suggest sell the notebook and PE4H and get a Sandy/Ivy Bridge one with an iGPU instead with an expresscard slot + PE4L 2.1b. Then you can do a [email protected] implementation and see 3dmark06 performance of 15-20k. Gaming performance will be much better than your current system.

Nando thanks for your response. I bought this system because i read this was compatible with almost every computer and i didnt want it to spend the time selling my laptop cuz i think my system is not too old is very nice i7 procesor the only thing i hate about this system is my video card. Is not performing poorly is not performing at all at this moment im writing conected vía PE4H on my external LCD but when i run any game the performance is exactly the same as before.

Other tip on my 1.X setup when i try to turn off turn on igpu / dgpu it says something like txt locked at bios i dont even know what is that.

if someone can help i will aprecciate anyway thanks for your comment nando do you think i have any other option instead of selling this one and buying another one cuz if i sell this one im going to buy a desktop and avoid all this complicated system hehe
