I want to share this experience with all. finally I am using eGPU with my Lenovo Y580. performance is amazing and I also tested 3D Mark fire strike and GPU score is 11200. I am using GDC EXP Beast, Gigabyte G1 GTX 970, Corsair CX500M and Lenovo Y580 (I7 and 8 GB RAM). if anyone need support, please ask.

For my case there no need to use 1.3 setup just plug and play.

You can watch the above video to know the full set up for eGPU

i hooked my y510p up with Sapphire R9 280x but the fps is so low that any games is unplayable. I already use an external screen, installed the driver and got no error at all. Do you happen to know my problem i am facing?

One time I forgot to connect 8 and 6 pins, and gpu was working but with very low performance. Make sure that power connection is OK and also if mPCIe cable has some issues, sure also it will affect performance
