I looking for expresscard that has dvi.
Or some way to get to a third monitor.
I really don't want to spend 300$ just to hook up to three monitors.
    I plan purchasing Sager 8120 /x8100

    And Want to do tri-monitor.
I hook one monitor via hdmi and one dvi.
    But I don't have a thrid output.
    Help find a solution.

    VTBook
    VTDock
    DIYdock
    A Unversial dock
    Expresscard to dvi
    usb to dvi.

I been looking hi and low for a solution.

There are USB3.0 to DVI adapters. So you could add a USB 3.0 expresscard to your notebook to use that. Note that the Sager 8120 has a Gen1 expresscard slot so the USB 3.0 would be operating at half it's rated speed. Though for your application it may be fine. Certainly 2.5Gbps is still over 5x faster than USB's 2.0's 480Mbps. There are plenty of USB 2.0 to DVI adapters.

Would it be good enough for widescreen gaming?

1920x1080x60x4 (32-bit color at 60FPS vsync on) = <Strike>3.8MBps</strike> 3.8Gbps, so no, not enough bandwidth from your Gen1 <strike>2.5MBps</strike> 2.5Gbps expresscard slot. A proper USB 3.0 port at <strike>5MBps</strike> 5Gbps would be OK. If the USB 3.0 to DVI adapter does some sort of link level compression then it might be OK.

I'd suggest look at a gaming box with USB 3.0 and/or expresscard 2.0. Those will be Sandy Bridge systems. Eg: MSI GT780, Dell M6600, Alienware M17xR3/M18x. You'd want one with a bios that allows unlocked xtreme CPUs like the i7-2920XM to be used, allowing 2.5->~4.0Ghz multiplier unlocked overclocks
