Will I burn my PE4L by giving it 6V instead of 5V? I'm using dell da-2power brick. A friend gave me a 12V to 6V dc to dc converter. I would like to get my setup running asap but acquiring a 12V to 5V would take approximately teo weeks from ebay.

Can I do it with 6V?

So I went ahead and used 12V-to-6V dc/dc regulator. So far so good. I can't say anything about long-term effects. Probably I'll put a diode in that 6V circuit to drop the voltage a bit.
