What do you get in the box?
And oh yeh, does it come with a MC remote?

Off the top of my head I can't remember exactly what I got in the box.
A laptop, power cable, bunch of CD's, a modem cable....
No MC remote, you have to buy that extra.

Did you get a printed user's manual?
    Mine came without it.

Moreover, what kind of boot is set on?
To see that, go to the Start button, click on it, type "msconfig" in the search box and run it.
You will find the boot option under the 'boot' label (if memory serves well).

(and what are the CPU temps you are experiencing under light load?)

under light load, I get 45 degrees celcius. The boot is something like milti(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2).../noexecute=optin /fastdetect

If I could copy and paste, I would :).

Sorry for the delayed reply to your questions. I just recieved my Vostro system today! The answers to your questions are as followed:

jam12- What I recieved in the box was:
    • Laptop
    • AC Adapter
    • Dell 200 Pg. User Manual
    • Recovery Disks

    NO Remote Was Included

Sredni Vashtar- Yes, my system included a very large manual, but it was a used manual and some pages are torn.

CPreston- The hard drive accesses quickly and most of the time quietly. I do get an occassional noise that just bothers you for a second or two.

    Thanks for the questions!!

They told me they didn't have a manual. I copied the .pdf manual to a CD and took it to Staples to be printed... double sided. (I wanted double sided/2 pages per side, but they messed up).
