I am about to purchase a nice system but I have a budget of 1000 $ I desperately need a coupon for this system PLEASE HELP
-
You should also check out some refurbished units. Their quality aren't that bad but they can save you a pretty penny. -
I just want to see how much it differs from a already given discount and a coupon, I would like to save money for my education... I really appreciate if you still have anything that I can try
-
Alright, you're the captain.
I only have coupons for Dell.ca, though. Clicky Here. -

Look in my past threads i have a E-value code thread that allows you an awesome Vostro 1500 for base 649 with 2gb ram and some other stuff you will easily slide under 1000 even with more upgrades.
-
I am not really into the refurbished items but thanks for the reply and for the canada coupons for some reason they do not really work for my purchase and there is no any explanation telling me the reason why it is so... I still need something
-
You may want to try working the sales reps over the phone, sometimes you can haggle some freebies or a price reduction with them.
-
Why do you need a coupon hakantoz?
Vostro 1500 starts at $649. Throw in 8600GT and $749, that includes 160GB hard drive and 9 cell battery.
What do you mean you need a coupon? -
The links that i have checked with HELPR comes out even more expensive than the deal that the dell has... Dell has 299$ off the price , I am tryin to configure a system with

And I am really curious about this mystery coupon that I have read in other threads but none of the coupons are working anymore unfortunately
-
Night mare this system comes out around 1500 $ and I heard that there are 400 to 500$ discounts on some items, I would be happy If I can use more discount, cheaper is better right? unless you want to pay for the additional 200$ for me You can see my system above... For a little explanation why I did this system like this would be 4mb l2 cache is really good, and for the lcd panel from my researches wide screen sxga+lcd display is said to be looking way better than any other lcd displays, I wish I could cahnge 160g harddisk to 80 and decrease some amount of money but still it is the only choice for this laptop.
-
That's a $1200 configuration AFTER the 299 off.
You are asking for too much for too little.
Sorry man, your expectations are too high and your budget is too low. -
-
Well I know but I still have hope, from what I have read before, with the mystery coupon people have saved 400$ before, If I have that I will have 1100 $ ish which is better than the 299$ off coupon, if you see my point. That is the reason I am asking for little help...
But thanks for your positive thoughts... -
-
They rarely have coupons for small business.
With all the upgrades you want, you won't be under 1k. Drop the screen down to xga+, drop the RAM to 1GB and upgrade it yourself. Problem solved. -
well i heard about the shiny screen, thats the reason i made it the best, and ram I dontk now how much are the prices for 1gigs?
-
If I were you Id drop the screen down to the next best one which is the one thats $50 dollars more, it is the WXGA+. Also on RAM and the Hard drive, I would select the cheapest ones they offer and then upgrade it yourself it will save you money, because Dell tends to overcharge on RAM especially!
-
mystery coupons are gone man.. dell said they will not run those again for a while.. they even said it could be a while before they run them again on the inspirons even...
-
I am thinking to order my system today but I am just having one question about the screen, now there are 4 alternatives
15.4 inch Wide Screen XGA LCD Display [subtract $100]
May delay your Vostro 1500 ship date
15.4 inch Wide Screen XGA LCD Display with TrueLife [subtract $100]
15.4 in Wide Screen XGA+LCD Display w/TrueLife [subtract $50]
15.4 in Wide Screen SXGA+LCD Display w/TrueLife
I selected the very best one which is 15.4 in Wide Screen SXGA+LCD Display w/TrueLife , thinking this screen has no problems with the graininess , can someone help me on that, cuz I really need a laptop that is flawless... -
In addition one last question would be the heating problem, with a 8600 gt display card, core 2 duo 2ghz and 2 gigs of ram, do you think there might be shutdowns due to the excessive heat??? especially while playing 3d games...
-
With proper circulation of air, it won't shut down. Don't block any of the vents.
WSXGA screen has a higher resolution and probably not even worth it if you're gonna game. IT's too high of a native resolution for gaming.
Something like the WXGA+ (will be a grainy screen though, not TOO bad in games) or the regular WXGA.
You can downgrade 1GB and upgrade yourself later.
A flawless Vostro is hard to get. Not impossible but really hard.
You get a non grainy screen and viewing angles suck.
You get one with good viewing angles and the its grainy
You get a good LCD and now the head jack whines
Then you may get one with CPU whine which is worse of them all.
Just heads up. -
Lol so I am little confused with WXGA , I just selected the highest cuz I know games can change the resolution in their required aspects, just I am selecting the best one not to have any problem... There should be a reason for more money I guess But so according to the 4 alternatives above which one you recommend me , 1 , 2 ,3 or 4...
15.4 inch Wide Screen XGA LCD Display [subtract $100]
May delay your Vostro 1500 ship date
15.4 inch Wide Screen XGA LCD Display with TrueLife [subtract $100]
15.4 in Wide Screen XGA+LCD Display w/TrueLife [subtract $50]
15.4 in Wide Screen SXGA+LCD Display w/TrueLife
And for the heating I am just curious about there are enough vents for a powerful system like that, I had issues before because the laptops didnot have a nice ventilation system even if they had nice video cards... -
get a notebook cooler if your that worried....and read the Vostro review
