I just bought a new Vostro 1500 with Win XP Home Basic pre-installed on it. Bluetooth was running just fine on it in the beginning. Then I install my copy of Windows XP Professional. All the device drivers were intact as expected but surprizing Bluetooth stopped working on my laptop since then. The LED also doesn't light up nor can I find any bluetooth icon in Control Panel. However, Bluetooth wasnot shown to be installed in Add/Remove Programs. Intitutively, I installed Bluetooth drivers from Dell Web support and then tried to re-install them many times. To my shock, I started getting this weird error message: "Press Fn+F2 or use the radio switch to activate Bluetooth". My radio switch is always on and there is no function associated with the Fn + F2 key! And now the driver doesn't install at all!! at the bottom of the notebook and plug it in again. I did that too but all in vain!

Please Help me and send to me Bluetooth driver of Vostro 1500. So far, I am living in VietNam throught my email [email protected] or [email protected], or [email protected]
Have a good day for you
    Thanks for your regards

There are a couple things that you may try. First, if the BT radio was turned off before the OS installation, you may need to download and run the patch to turn it back on. Second, during the driver installation, there are reports that you need to go to the extracted file and run the instal.msi (instead of setup.exe) there. When it prompt for the Fn+F2, choose cancel to continue the installation and reboot after the installation. If it still does not work, get the newer driver from anycom.com. The USB 250 driver from anycom would work for the Dell BT355.
