I only noticed this recently as I have had my Vostro for a couple months and used it primarily on my lap or on a cooler. Now that I am using it more and placing it on a flat surface (i.e. table), I realize that the lower right corner of the base doesn't touch the table and rocks when I put some pressure on it.
I don't want to exchange it as everything about this notebook is great so far, especially the screen which is decent after a couple exchanges.
Any suggestions how to rectify this? Maybe I should just look for a bigger bumper and replace it? Dunno.
Sounds dumb, but I'm thinking this will start to bother me over time.

I don't know if this would work, but I recently used some clear silicone to try and fix a dishwasher leak and it dries up quite nicely and is 'rubbery' like the feet on the bottom of the 1500. You may be able to add a dab to the bottom of the back right cumber to let it touch your flat surface...like I said, I've never tried it, but it might work.

maybe I'll give that a shot. Every time I rest my right wrist on the corner it causes it to wobble. Just hope the silicon sticks to the rubber already there.
I think I will just measure the gap, create a shim that height somehow, remove the rubber foot, glue the shim to the foot, and then to the laptop...
It's stupid crap like this that bugs me all the time. There's no reason for it, not a real big deal, something you wouldn't risk an exchange for, but annoying enough to piss you off. -
wait before you add any extra stuff to the bottom!
check and make sure the rubber feet are all there first, then make sure they are all in the right location.
Dell Vostro 1500 - Not perfectly flat base - suggestions?
