    Hi everyone,

I'm looking at purchasing a Dell Vostro 1400 and have a couple questions for those who purchased a Vostro 1400.

What is the build quality is like, and are there any problems if any? Thanks.

i just ordered it cant wait to get it...but today i went to bestbuy and wow the 14" HP they had looked sexy and thin, they had the 1420 which i thought was pretty bulky for a 14" but i hope that the vostro being all black will slim it down and look good ...mentally :) had it not be for HP heat issues i might of gone with them

The 1400 has a very solid build. Feels very well put together when holding/carrying it. Little to no flex in the chassis. I absolutely love the keyboard. Only things that seem slightly cheap are the media buttons above the keyboard, but they are still fine.

They feel sturdier than the HP DV6700's IMO. Funny. One of my friends thought the plastic palm rests were metal. That tells you how sturdy it feels.
