Ok, so the sales rep told me that he selected all the "no install" options. But when I look at the order form, I see:

    420-7180 DELL SUPPORT 3.4 1
    420-7186 DELL SUPPORT CENTER 1.0 1
    420-7189 DELL NETWORK ASSISTANT 1.7 1

None of them say "no install". I asked him twice and both times he said that they come on CD and will not be installed.

    Did he screw up?

Can someone who ordered a Vostro with all the "no install" options check their confirmation e-mail and tell me what it says?

Well it might just no show up in the e-mail confirmation.
Years ago when I first ordered my dell desktop over the phone I asked for a French keyboard and the guy told me that it was no problem. On the confirmation it didn't say French keyboard but sure enough I got the right thing.

So it might not show up. But it might have changed since this is over 4 years ago now.
Someone who has ordered the same thing can give you a better answer.

    Someone?

I really need to know fast so I can change the order before it's too late.

My brother picked to have the dell network assistant and when I was helping him last night it wasn't on his machine, he also had the no install option. He has some discs but he hasn't tried to install anything yet. What, you don't want them installed or you want to make sure you get the CDs?

Is going into Add/Remove programs and uninstalling them not an option?

I would call Dell back, get a different CSR and ask them to check. If they tell you the same thing, then there's not much you can probably do anyway other than wait..

    That's not really the point.

I expect to get exactly what I ordered, especially when I'm spending 1000+.

And "uninstalling" rarely is complete. Registry entries, hidden folders, etc...

Those kinds of services are things I really wouldn't worry about. It's not like norton came on there.

And since when are Support and Support Center programs?

    Since the Vostro. :)

Just the idea of having a notebook shipped to me with nothing but Vista on it (and Adobe Reader, unfortunately) is awesome.
