    Hey folks

    im with a friend whos wanting to buy a dell from dell uk,there are offers on but they end tonight, but he wants a 1520 with an 8400 or 8600, but on the site the 1520 only have intergrated graphics and no option for the 8`s

    but the dell phone lines say they are shut, does anyone know if its possible to speak toa sales rep direct at all possibly tonight and a number ? or why the the 1520s dont have an option to upgrade the graphics ??? seems a bit strange to me :confused: :confused: , hes not sure what to do coz he doesnt want to miss the offers ??? any idea what the new offers will be ? any advice on what he should/could do ??

    They stopped the 8600mGT on the 1520's so they can push their XPS range.

    Order a Dell Vostro its about the same price as an inspiron and will give you the option of a 8600mGT 512 DDR2 GPU, or the 8400GS I believe.

    I'm pretty sure the sales line remain open 24/7 unlike customer support.

    The Dell Vostro range is EXACTLY the same as the Inpirosn range and it is usually alot cheaper and it still has the option for the 8400 GS or the 8600GT. Order online if he wants it badly and if a new offer comes up next week then u cancel your oder and re-order.

    Possibly the 1520 is being replaced by the 1525 that was just announced, and they are just running down their inventory of 1520's, the ones with video cards being the first to run out.
