I recently called Dell to have my laptop repaired and they told me a technician was going to call me which he did, but my schedule was too busy so we rescheduled for last Friday but he never showed. I called him Friday afternoon and he said he was going to come on Saturday and again he never showed. I decided not to harass him and call him again and now it's Monday afternoon and there is no sign of him, not even a phone call. Is this normal, should I wait a few more days or just call Qualxserv?

    Any answers appreciated.

Wait, you mean you actually got a call back from Dell? I gave up on Dell's support after buying my first Dell many years ago.

Anyway, If they said they were gonna come you better get on that phone and demand they come and fix your laptop.

I don't know if it's luck, but I had incredible luck with the support, I called Dell around 1:00PM on Wednesday, then I received a call from Qualxserv 3:00PM the same day, then on Thursday a Technician called to come repair it but I wasn't home, that's the last time I heard from them. It's not like I am getting this for free, I recently bought a $230 warranty so they could fix it.

Oh meh...you don't even want to get me started on the service from Qualxserv Technicians...you either get a good one..or a bad one...*sigh*.

You need to call Dell back and get the phone number directly for QualXServe, or have them conference you in on a phone call with QualXServe Dispatch to set the time up. Or, have Dell call them to arrange the time that works for you, and call you back to confirm that it's a go.

Obviously...QualXServe isn't following up on their end by trying to contact you to schedule the time to repair your lappy..which you paid for that OnSite Service for! ;)

Good luck! I know it's very trying when your lappy needs to be fixed, and your waiting on someone else to contact you to schedule a time..and it feels like they are not *following through*...

I started trying to get my laptop fixed since July, it's almost a month now, they almost lost my $1300 laptop during shipment to the depot and then screwed it up worst than when I sent it and now they won't send a damn guy to fix the mess. Thanks for the help though.

well, i've always have good on site techs(they call NBD after my call to set up an appointment).... Dell reps are good too, on one occasion where the part was delayed(LCD housing with wifi antennas), they called me twice to update me of teh situation(i used the online chat originally)

YMMV i guess.... got service in Central NJ and Baltimore MD

You paid for OnSite Warranty..They need to send someone to fix the mess, otherwise they should not have been having a Technician calling you to schedule a time. Pfft. :(

Call Dell back..and ask for a Superisor or a Resolutions Specialist.

Thanks a lot, turns out the guy called me and scheduled an appointment and then sent the parts back to Dell. They are telling me that they are going to send the parts back. A total of 1 month dealing with Dell or Hell as they have been calling it. Thanks a lot for the help everyone.
