This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Not sure if this is new or not... I just noticed this on Dell's site.

    Dell Systems that Support Microsoft's Windows Vista Requirements (according to Dell!)

    I find it odd that they aren't listing the I9400/E1705 under the 'Recommended Systems' links for Home/SB/MLB. Hmmm... Do I smell a 'discontinue' coming? :confused:

    Regardless, it makes for an interesting read... Enjoy.

    yes, interesting indeed. My new unit is a e1505 with 1g Ram. Now strongly considering upgrading to 2g. Vista looks like it probably wont be out till January 07, so not in a huge rush.
