The last line of Dells had better gpus, but HP offered better pricing ( in my experience )

    True...
I really do want an LED display and the backlit keyboard is pretty sweet too.
    Doubt HP will have either.

HP dv hands down, it's better looking and has a better GPU. As for customization, both companies let you alter the exact same things. The only difference is Dell let's you choose a cover colour, big whoop. It's not like I'll be staring at the outside of it when I use it.

You must really have some sort of grudge against Dell Studio laptops!

whether i have one or not isn't the point. besides the looks, which is subjective, has what i said earlier been untrue?

Its not what youve said being untrue, just whenever I've seen the studio mentioned, you seem to be very negative towards it.

sure it is, if they're true then why shouldn't I or anyone be critical of Dell?

Im not saying you shouldnt be negative if it is true, just seems like you have something against the product itself.

I've got no problem if you dislike the product or companyfor its reputation.

what I have against the Studio are the same reasons to be critical of it, that's all. there really isn't any more or less to it.

Personally I think the Studio is better than the HP DV Series, but I'll have to see when the HP ones finally come out.
Do the HP have LED screens?
No backlit keyboard that's for sure...

I just saw a preview of the DS on Cnet. For the first I'm intrigued about a Dell lappy. Now I have to figure out if I'll buy a DV5 or not.

I think it's going to be a pretty tough decision for me between the HP DV7t and the Dell Studio 17 once Montevina comes out.
I really like the Dell and the features it has, but the GPU isn't the greatest.
The HP has the possibility to be awesome, especially if it will have the Nvidia 9600M GT like I read on some sites.
    Hmmmm
