I just got a Dell Studio laptop (OPI edition), and it’s incredibly fast & gorgeous!
Just thought I’d pass this along too, Dell has a coupon for $50 off systems $699+ with coupon code: WQQ$MQ0M4JNCWD. Or you can save $100 off systems $999+ with coupon code: B980P775CS2Z02. These last til the end of June at dell.com/dellu. I highly recommend Dell. I know Macs seem to be the latest trend or the “go to” computer, but Dell is all I’ve ever owned and I’ve never had an issue. I’m definitely a repeat customer, and I always suggest it to my friends and family.

Glad to hear you like your new laptop. It's not too often you see people posting here simply to praise their purchase. It is pretty refreshing. I am curious as to which of the OPI lids you got and if you'd be able to post pictures? I have only seen the photoshop'd images of them and wonder what it looks like on someone's laptop.

I too am a big dell fan and have owned many over the years, I currently have a XPS 16 and I have a 1558 on order. Although, I will admit to being unhappy with changes dell made to the EPP which is what you get through Dell U. I often find better prices through home sales and when I do find a deal through the EPP, it is give or take $30 bucks or so now. Can't find those huge savings like you use to before Nov or so of last year.

    Anyhow, congrats on your purchase!

Thanks! I'm really glad I got it and was far too excited when it was delivered. It's still taking time for me to get used to Windows 7. The Inspiron I had previously was Vista, so I am glad to have an update.
The 1558 looks awesome; I haven't gotten a chance to check it out yet though.

The lid on that looks awesome. Dell should really show some decent high res pics of the lids on offer during the order process. I'm sure a lot more people would stump up the premium price if they could see what they actually looked like.

Thanks for putting up a pic. That lid looks slick. Like the previous poster said, it would be great if dell posted decent high res pics, especially those that looked real. None of their pics show that nice shine.

Yeah I know what you mean. The pictures really didn't do it justice and I really didn't have a clue as to what it'd look like in person. Some of the MLB laptops look pretty nice too.
