the US version of Studio xps 16" starts at $1200(£780) with :
P8400
4gb DDR3
320GB 7200rpm HDD
Vista 64bit
UK version starts at £800 with :
T5800
3gb DDR3
160G 7200rpm
Vista 32bit (and no 64 bit option)
and all the upgrades cost x2 more then the ones in USA
eg: P8400 to P8600 in USA is $50 (£32) and it costs £60 in the UK
The US starting model with blu ray costs £1050 which is just crazy.
The studio xps actually mightbe a good offer in the USA ut its a rip off in the UK.
So the 13/16" starts more expensive with less stuff and the uprades cost more, dell are a bit stupid. trying to pull an "Apple" it seems.

it's rip off britain, what do u expect. exchange rate don't work like that. it's better to look at PPP instead.
