    Dell Studio XPS 13/16" UK options are Crap!

    the US version of Studio xps 16" starts at $1200(£780) with :
    P8400
    4gb DDR3
    320GB 7200rpm HDD
    Vista 64bit

    UK version starts at £800 with :
    T5800
    3gb DDR3
    160G 7200rpm
    Vista 32bit (and no 64 bit option)

    and all the upgrades cost x2 more then the ones in USA
    eg: P8400 to P8600 in USA is $50 (£32) and it costs £60 in the UK

    The US starting model with blu ray costs £1050 which is just crazy.


    The studio xps actually mightbe a good offer in the USA ut its a rip off in the UK.
    So the 13/16" starts more expensive with less stuff and the uprades cost more, dell are a bit stupid. trying to pull an "Apple" it seems.

    im pretty happy i bought my acer (in sig) for £750 and its a lot better then the studio xps

    hint buy a us version and ship it over, will get better specs at half the price.

    it's rip off britain, what do u expect. exchange rate don't work like that. it's better to look at PPP instead.
