    Dell Studio Laptop 1737

    Laptop was on for about 30 minutes then the screen went black.
    Tried several reboots still nothing.

    No beeps on reboot
    can hear hard drive running
    tried removing battery and holding power button in for at least 2 minutes and rebooted with power cord only and nothing


    What next please.....

    Have you tried, changing the RAM?

    Press CAPS LOCK does the light come on?

    Have you tried the laptop on an external monitor?

    It could be also a GPU failure. If changing the RAM doesn't help you, try removing the CMOS battery for a minute and then insert it back.
