Greetings all. Thanks in advance for any and all assistance.

Well I ordered a new Dell Studio 15inch for my wife for Christmas, her E-Machines Desktop finally dies after 7 years.

Anyway, I get the Laptop today, open the box, start to set uo some of her stuff, and when I try to load her pics and music into the laptop, the CD won't load into the drive!!

I am no dummy, well mostly, but I push the Cd into the drive slot and it will only go about 1/3 of the way. There is something physically blocking it from entering on the left side, as you look in.

There is no CD in there, I looked. But with the little fuzzy stuff around the slot I can't see inside to identify what the heck is blocking it!!

Any ideas would be much appreciated.....

Are you sure you're not pushing it in too softly? There will be a force pushing back.

I did call Dell. They told me to send it back and wait.

    Excellent.
