    The screen on my laptop won't turn on, but it will work with an external monitor. Can someone help me with this??

    Your display may have come disconnected internally, you could have a bad inverter, or a bad display.

    Thanks for the reply. Those were my thoughts. I'm going to see about replacing the cable, and if that doesn't work, it might be time for a new laptop.

    UPDATE!! My screen is now working again! The connector under the media control panel was knocked loose. Easy fix, except for removing the media control panel to get to it.
