I ordered a new Dell Studio 1737 on 30th April 2009. They gave me a delivery date of 15th May which I thought was fantastic. Come the 13th May they push my delivery date back to the 26th May...
So i phone them up and they tell me that they are "experiencing a high level of demand for this product.". Ok, i'm pretty annoyed but fair enough.
Now we come to 22nd May. I check my order status and it's now estimated to arrive on the 15th June. So I phone them again and they give me the exact same reason.
Has anyone else experienced this? Apparantly they have no stock issues and there aren't any issues with my particular laptop, so why the huge delay? Surely a month and a half is long enough to put together a laptop?
Has anyone else had issues like this? If I wasn't so looking forward to that particular laptop i'd have cancelled the order by now...

you are lucky you have some hope they will ship it you. my studio 1550 was shipped and was lost between dell and courier company (purolator). i just cancelled my order for a full refund. dell wasted one month of my valuable time and offered no compensation. their checkout/order pages are misleading and outright deceptive about shipping delay.
