Does anyone know whether the graphics card are switchable between X4500 HD and radeon 3650 so i can preserve power when on battery with the X4500 and use 3650 on power supply.

I am assuming the X4500 is on the motherboard already and the discrete card can be switched off at the bios like 780G platform?

    thx

The Studio 1737 doesn't support switchable graphics. Models with the ATI Radeon Mobility HD 3650 are based on the Intel PM45 chipset. The PM45 has a PCI Express x16 graphics port instead of the GMA 4500MHD. Models with integrated graphics are based on the GM45 chipset, which has the 4500MHD only.

Actually... GM45 can support switchable between integrated and discrete graphics, not 4500MHD only. Sony Z series is one of the examples.

But yes, Studio 1737 doesn't have this feature.
