    Hi there

Is it me, or does the graphics driver stop responding..... a lot! plus you seem to get random corruption on screen occasionally (but only briefly) I know it seems to recover well - but surely, this shouldn't be happening?

I had this problem with the factory image that was already installed, so tried restoring the factory image from the backup on drive D: but that made no difference at all.

Tried XP - same problem (but more frequent)

Just formatted the HDD and installed a clean copy of Vista. Installed the bare mimium for drivers so internet worked and then let Windows Update do the rest.

This configuration does seem more stable so far but this issue does bug me.

Sending information to Microsoft just says it's an issue with the ATi graphics driver for which there is no current solution.

I can usually replicate the issue by opening a few windows and then using the Windows key + Tab to bring up the 3d window thing just by constantly going in and out of this and cycling between windows.

Does anyone else get this problem with their 1735 (or any other model with ATi mobility based graphics)?

    Thanks.
