Hey guys, i was hoping to try to get XP on my dell studio 17. I've tried to install XP before but it wouldnt work because of SATA drivers and such. If anyone has done this before, can you help me find some drivers for my Hitachi hts543232l9a300 hard drive. I believe i can find the other drivers. And if you already have slipstreamed this then can you upload the iso for it.

Have been running xp for months on my studio 17. Just disable the ahci option from the bios if you are unable to slipstream. I think the iso thing will be illegal.

Commander Wolf can i haz broadwell?
Seconded on disabling AHCI in BIOS. Just activate it post install if you actually care. Chances are, unless you're running a fast SSD, there won't be a difference between ATA and AHCI mode. Even then, the difference is small...
That being said, downloading Windows disk images technically shouldn't be illegal given that you have a legal key (at least, this seems to be the case with Vista and 7 seeing that we have threads linking to downloads of Vista and 7), but uploading these images may be. -
I have the keys for all types of XP except media center which i dont really need. I dont need a pirated version of XP i want a legal version that doesnt have the CD Key. Or can you post drivers for XP that i could slipstream myself..
