Anyone bought a refurb off of Dell Outlet lately? My last purchase was a Inspiron 1520 that I am typing this on now, still running great.

I picked this up earlier, I think I got a decent deal. What do you think? What resolution can it support? It doesn't say.

Your particular notebook supports 1280x768 (plus/minus a few pixels). I bought a Dell Studio 1558 from the outlet about a month ago to replace a year and half old MacBook. I really like it, although now that I've updated the BIOs to A05, and now the damn fan is always on now. (Pretty annoying.) Other than that, it's a great bang for the buck laptop. Excellent screen, so-so battery life though (3 hours on the 6-cell battery) :-/ Slight keyboard flex, but nothing really terrible, just slight flex to it. The lighted keyboard is such a nice option too!

Really? Only 1280x768? My old 1520 does 1680x1050...

I may be a little bit off but it's a 720p screen. Thus as the specifications state:
    Laptop Screen
15.6 inch High Definition (720p) LED Display with TrueLife

It's very likely that the resolution will be 1280x7xx or something like that.

1366x768 is very common with the 16:9 displays these days.

That's a decent price for the refurb but really, you can get a brand new Studio 1558 for about the same price, with potentially better specs. Price a new one out @ Dell first before committing to the refurb.

Tried building something similar. Price doesn't even come close for what that refurb has. $1,324.99 for similar stuff, with a new screen and bluetooth.

If you are a student you can go to dellU and get the same notebook with a 500gb hdd 7200rpm, any color, and bluetooth for the same price as that notebook you listed.

Any more info you could provide? I tried looking and the i7 is not offered at anywhere near that price point that I could find. The i5 is $1,259.99 after discount similarly configured on DellU.
