    Hi Guys,

I have purchase some additional memory from Scan.co.uk and now I am getting BSOD, I was wondering if anyone have had any issues with these set of dims CMSO8GX3M2A1333C9.

I have analysed the memory dump created by the blue screen and indicated a hardware problem.
Consequently the memory modules are the issue because I have used the original dims and there were no problems.

    Bug Check 0x124: WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR
The WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR bug check has a value of 0x00000124. This bug check indicates that a fatal hardware error has occurred. This bug check uses the error data that is provided by the Windows Hardware Error Architecture (WHEA).

If I put back the original memory back the laptop works fine.

The original memory installed in the laptop has the following characteristics
    Hynix V1RX3 NBB Dual In-Line Memory Module,2GB,1333MHZ,256X64,8K, 204Pin

The memory purchased from SCAN has the same characteristics however it doesn’t work with my Dell 1558

Take 1 stick out and run Prime95. If it BSOD, swap in the other stick while removing the bad stick and run Prime95 again. If it doesn't BSOD you have ruled out the bad stick. If it keeps on BSOD, possibly both are defective.
