    A brief question:

Is it possible to replace the Core i7 720QM in my system with either a Core i7 920XM or 940XM?

    Thanks!

I think your laptop might just explode if you do that!! The 1557 can barely handle the 72QM with 45W TDP and the 920XM and 940XM have a 55W TDP.

The BIOS might also restrict this, overall I think this would be a bad idea!
