    Short review -
    Good
    1. Overall good experience till now
    2. Good simplistic look.
    3. Excellent Auo 1080p screen. (Cant compare with LG since i dont have LG, but to me it looks good) - Though i am sure 900p or 720p would also have been perfect. Given that it was 1080p watching HD videos was fun, but i had to increase DPI since the fonts were too small. I still have some more tweaking to do. Also only native resolution 19xx/1080 looks good, anything less looks bad, its always good to be at native. - But yes to buyers, dont worry if you have taken 900p or 720p, they are both going to be perfect too.
    4. Good slot loading drive, its perfect - I think it doesnt make as much noise as people were saying. It ingested my DVD elegantly and fast and it spit out the DVD, as soon as i clicked eject button. I will have to see the long term performance, though i feel my old laptop;s tray used to come out just by putting pressure, which bothered me a lot, so i wanted slot loading. Only complain, no indicator whatsover, so i dont know if there is a media inside or not. I might sometimes by mistake force another CD/DVD in - when there is a CD already there.
    5. Excellent AUDIO - I was surprised to see the subwoofer working flawlessly, i had a lenovo Y410 which also has a subwoofer but i dont think i ever saw it working like a subwoofer. Studio 1555 has excellent sound output (i just have intel HD - no additional software or card).

    Bad (though not that bad)
    1. No caps lock light !
    2. No indicators, except battery charging, power and webcam, no other indicator (no sdcard indicator, no wireless/bluetooth indicator, no harddisk indicator, No drive indicator (so if dvd is running i dont know) ) - Not that its a problem, its just something i wasnt that used to, actually not having it is much better, else it was a distraction.
    3. Yes touchpad area gets a little warm if you work a lot, but thats what happens with my toshiba too, i think thats pretty much fine.
    4. Yes there is flex on the lid, but i am sure the flex is by design, there is no harm to the LCD.

Thanks... yes you will get it before your EDD so keep your hands crossed and wait , thats fun too - waiting for the fedex man, i know yesterday for every knock i used to run to the door, like a small kid, with a smile on my face and when i find someone else i get disappointed, my wife saw that and she teased me a lot .. yes i know for adults - laptop is a like a toy, so whether you are a kid or adult, the interest in toys remain constant, just that toys change.

i pretty much agree with all your points except for the audio part. ive tweaked all the settings and i still cant get it to sound quite right. maybe i was just spoiled with how great my inspiron 9300s speakers sounded.

If and when your M1530 eventually dies for good, the Studio 1555 would be an excellent replacement system for you. Similar physical proportions, but better in more or less every way. Backlit keyboard's hard to argue with too. ;)
