It goes "dee dee," when I move it, and then a moment later goes "do do."
How the heck do I turn this off? Is this a sensor for the HDD that is doing this? What's the deal? It's sooooo annoying.

that sounds like the "add remove hardware" chime that plays when you plug in or remove devices like thumb drives, etc. from ports and card slots.
Check to see if external devices are plugged in tightly
Sometimes a cord coming off a device could be broken and the chime would play as the device got connected and disconnected intermittently. This happens with an mouse I use regularly-move the cord ever so slightly in a certain direction then it stops working and i hear the chime. -
I have nothing connected to it. I also don't think that's what it is, as I'm familiar with that sound.

One of your internal devices is loose.
Such as your WiFi or bluetooth cards. It can be any internal non-essential device. Open your laptop and check all connections. Also consider you CD or DVD-ROM drive. -
I have the problem too. And i am sure that is not from external devices.
I tried to remove WIFI, ATI Graphic card drivers but not succeeded.
I am going to reinstall vista and see what comes.
And the noise is at a high frequent? Or not? -

The sound itself is lower frequency. In terms of occurrence, it's pretty random.
Also, it does not always follow up the first two beeps immediately with the next two. It might beep twice, then if I don't touch it for a moment, it may take longer to beep the second set. -
OK, just figured it out. I opened the device manager and shook it around to see what refreshed.
It's the MMC disk device. I just removed the plastic Dell placeholder and it stopped. Weird. I wouldn't expect plastic to be triggering the device, as it's not a conductor.
Dell Studio 1537 with Vista beeps when I move/shake/tilt it.
