Today I got my Dell Studio 1537, but I'm not entirely satisfied with the screen. I ordered the WLED WXGA (1280*800) screen, but there seems to be quite an amount of light leakage and the backlight seems does not appear to be uniform. The left part of the screen has a much more green 'wash', whereas the right part is more yelllow.

I checked the model number, and I have a SEC5441, which is a Samsung if I'm correct.

Does anyone else who has this screen experiences the same problem? :) Do you think I can get it replaced?

i would get it replaced if i were you.

Dell CS takes lots of work but if you've got a case and make it a point to them, they'll take care of you.

i bought a 1535 from the outlet. it was branded as Previously Ordered New, basically a new laptop which was cancelled before being shipped. it came with a big scratch on the screen. i immediately contacted dell support and they sent me a replacement right away. to my dismay, the replacement was pure junk. the chassis was cracked, there were dents and scratches all over the outside and it was missing the fingerprint scanner which i had on the PON one. i returned it right away and it took a week and a half, and over a dozen calls to Dell and finally an email (because i was tired of getting transfered to a dial tone) to get them to realized i need a new replacement.

yesterday the a good replacement came in and they did me right. i got a 1537 with WLED (v. wxga) screen and upped the processor from T8100 to a P8400. did a quick search here and the P8400 definately suites me better. it lasts longer and performs pretty much the same.

definately contact dell via email and explain to them the problem. good luck. i'm not sure if i'm an exception or the rule to dell servicing their clients.
